New Evidence for life on the planet Mars!!!
New findings in the meteorite from Mars, that was found in 1996, show that Magnetite (a magnetic material) that is found only in living organisms is present in the special rock! Mars is about 35 million miles from Earth at its closest approach. It is about 1/3 the size of the Earth and has a very thin atmosphere of carbon dioxide, and other trace gasses, and you wouldn't want to spend your Summer vacation there! In 1976 the Viking missions failed to prove that life exists on Mars. This new discovery is just another tempting reason to send a robot vehicle, or manned mission, to return samples to make the tests needed for the proof of life, if any.
